Raymond Storage Concepts’ OSHA-Compliant Forklift Training Process

Our Safety on the Move program, from Raymond Storage Concepts (RSC), covers the three critical steps required by OSHA 1910.178 for powered industrial trucks.

We keep class sizes small—12 participants maximum—to guarantee personalized attention and meaningful, hands-on learning. To ensure the most relevant, real-world training and meet regulations, this program is delivered exclusively on-site using your own equipment.
  • Step 1: Formal Classroom Training

Your team starts with the foundation—forklift types in your fleet, how controls work, load handling and the safety rules that matter in your workplace.

Training happens through in-person sessions with our instructors or via our online learning program that fits your schedule.
  • Step 2: Practical Demonstration

Time to practice what they learned. Our certified instructors supervise hands-on training where operators learn proper techniques and safe maneuvering skills on their forklifts.

We also offer Virtual Reality (VR) Simulator training with hundreds of scenarios as a space-saving practice option.
  • Step 3: Evaluation

We wrap up with a hands-on evaluation by our trainers to validate that each operator can safely and competently use the forklift in your specific workplace.

Upon completion, you get the certificate. Our program supports peak performance and flexibly meets all OSHA requirements, including your three-year recertification needs.

This program teaches your team members how to deliver OSHA-compliant training, conduct proper evaluations and maintain certification records.

Choose the training location that works best for your schedule—we can come to your facility to work with your specific equipment and operations, or your team can attend sessions at our Cincinnati, Columbus or Louisville locations.

What Every OSHA-Compliant Operator Must Know Before Turning the Key

The daily pre-shift inspection (required by OSHA) is the ultimate first line of defense for operator safety and equipment reliability. As part of becoming a competent driver, you need to know exactly how to execute this non-negotiable two-part check—and the critical “Tag It Out” rule.
